Product rework services involve correcting, inspecting, rebuilding, relabeling, repackaging, or otherwise modifying products that cannot move forward in their current condition. In a recall or product correction scenario, this may include sorting affected inventory, replacing components, correcting labels, updating packaging, rebuilding kits, adding inserts, or preparing corrected products for redistribution. These services are especially useful when the product itself remains usable, but a packaging issue, labeling error, missing component, or quality concern must be corrected before the product can return to market.

For PPS, product rework is part of a broader set of contract assembly, kitting, secondary packaging, relabeling, repackaging, and fulfillment services. These projects require controlled work instructions, trained labor, quality checks, documentation, inventory reconciliation, and lot or serial tracking. The goal is to correct affected inventory accurately while maintaining accountability throughout the process.
