Maintenance
Brief Description: Responsible for maintaining the machinery and making sure the equipment is safe for employees to operate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain production equipment and machinery.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on equipment in production.
- Assure that the equipment is working properly and safe to use.
- Keep accurate and updated records of maintenance in compliance with ISO.
- Dismantle and analyze defects.
- Troubleshoot machinery issues.
- Determine and make necessary repairs on simple and complex machines.
- Receives coolant, ensures everything is hooked up correctly, dips the tanks, and takes measurements.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and repair work tables, benches, etc.
- Keep the maintenance shop clean and organized.
- Make pick-ups and deliveries when needed.
- Prioritize and organize the completion of multiple tasks.
Strength/Physical Demands:
- Lift a maximum of 75 pounds.
- Stand on your feet for 8 hours or more.
- Be able to work on a high lift and ladders.
Work Conditions:
- Fast-paced work environment.
- Willing to work 40 hours per week.
- Work with limited supervision and follow detailed instructions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Mechanical abilities.
- Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electronics, electrical, welding, painting, writing and communication.
- Must be able to drive and have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to read blue prints and follow owner manuals for equipment.
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting experience required
- 5 years’ experience as a maintenance worker
