Maintenance

Brief Description:  Responsible for maintaining the machinery and making sure the equipment is safe for employees to operate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain production equipment and machinery.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on equipment in production.
  • Assure that the equipment is working properly and safe to use.
  • Keep accurate and updated records of maintenance in compliance with ISO.
  • Dismantle and analyze defects.
  • Troubleshoot machinery issues.
  • Determine and make necessary repairs on simple and complex machines.
  • Receives coolant, ensures everything is hooked up correctly, dips the tanks, and takes measurements. 

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and repair work tables, benches, etc.
  • Keep the maintenance shop clean and organized.
  • Make pick-ups and deliveries when needed.
  • Prioritize and organize the completion of multiple tasks.

Strength/Physical Demands:

  • Lift a maximum of 75 pounds.
  • Stand on your feet for 8 hours or more.
  • Be able to work on a high lift and ladders.

Work Conditions:

  • Fast-paced work environment.
  • Willing to work 40 hours per week.
  • Work with limited supervision and follow detailed instructions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Mechanical abilities.
  • Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electronics, electrical, welding, painting, writing and communication.
  • Must be able to drive and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to read blue prints and follow owner manuals for equipment.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting experience required
  • 5 years’ experience as a maintenance worker
