APTA Endorses Wipeable Vinyl Gait/Transfer Belt

ALEXANDRIA, VA, October 9, 2008 — The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) has endorsed the Vinyl Gait Transfer Belt developed by Peoria Production Shop in Peoria, Ill.

The vinyl gait transfer belt was produced as part of the company's strategy to help healthcare facilities control the spread of infectious diseases and to respond to customers' interest in changing to wipeable belts.

“The vinyl gait belt provides an important function in helping to prevent the spread of infectious disease,” explained APTA President R Scott Ward, PT, PhD. “The belt also addresses physical therapists’ need for durability, stability, and patient comfort.”

The company’s belt is made of two-inch wide coated vinyl and features rust-resistant hardware and rivets. Peoria Production Shop offers customized printing on individual belts with a company logo or other graphic on a minimum purchase quantity.
